Harmful Information and Multilateral Diplomacy: course registration

Who is responsible. The ICT4Peace Foundation, Geneva, Switzerland. Contact: academy@ict4peace.org.

What we collect. Your first and last name and your email address. If you choose to give them: your organisation, your role, how you heard about the course, and whether you want to hear about future courses.

Why we use it.

  • To send you your enrolment link when the course opens, and practical information about this course.
  • To understand who the course reaches. We may report anonymised totals to the course’s funders, for example the number of registrations by type of organisation. We never pass on names or email addresses.
  • Only if you ticked the second box: to tell you about future ICT4Peace Academy courses.

On what basis. Your consent, which you give when you register and can withdraw at any time.

Where it is kept, and who sees it. Your details are stored on the server that hosts academy.ict4peace.org, with a hosting provider in Switzerland. The emails we send you pass through the Foundation’s email service, Google Workspace, which may process data outside Switzerland, including in the United States. Only Foundation staff working on the course see your details. We do not sell them, and we do not share them with anyone else.

How long. Until the course opens, and for twelve months after that, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. If you enrol, your course account is kept for as long as you use the course. If you asked to hear about future courses, until you unsubscribe.

Your rights. You can ask to see, correct or delete your details, or withdraw your consent, by writing to academy@ict4peace.org. You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, or, if you are in the European Union, to the data-protection authority in your country.
